meerecompany (CEO Joon Koo Kim) announced on the 22nd that its surgical robot Revo-i is continuing to record consecutive export successes in Paraguay, further strengthening its presence in the local robotic surgery market.

This shipment marks Revo-i’s second export case in Paraguay. The system was previously installed at Sanatorio Santa Barbara in Asunción, where it is currently in clinical use. The newly exported unit will be introduced at a training center, where it will support the establishment of a structured robotic surgery education environment. Through this initiative, meerecompany aims to provide high-quality training to local medical professionals and enhance the clinical capabilities of surgeons using Revo-i. The training center is also expected to serve as an education and dissemination hub for neighboring Central and South American countries, positioning Paraguay as a strategic base for the regional expansion of Revo-i.

South America is regarded as an emerging market where the adoption of surgical robots is accelerating. According to Cognitive Market Research, the global surgical robot market is estimated at USD 8.8,156 billion (approximately KRW 12.8 trillion), with the South American market accounting for USD 440.78 million (approximately KRW 640 billion), or about 5 percent of global revenue as of 2024. The region is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16.6 percent through 2031[i], indicating strong growth potential.

Within this context, Paraguay is a market where the robotic surgery ecosystem is taking shape following the introduction of Revo-i, with significant room for further adoption. The consecutive export achievements are therefore viewed as a positive indicator of Revo-i’s competitiveness in the Central and South American market.

Ho Kun Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of the Surgical Robot Division at meerecompany, stated, “The introduction of Revo-i at this training center is expected to strengthen local robotic surgery education infrastructure and serve as a key hub for expanding the adoption of Revo-i in the region.”
