Gibbeum Hospital Celebrates 100th Revo-i Robotic Surgery

[Whosaeng Shinbo] Gibbeum Hospital has accomplished 100 surgeries with the robotic surgical system Revo-i. The hospital mostly performed cholecystectomy and appendectomy.

 

Gibbeum Hospital has held the ceremony on the 12th of this month to celebrate the achievement of 100th Revo-i robotic surgeries with the presence of representatives including meerecompany CEO Joongoo Kim and the Representative Director Yoonsik Kang.

 

The robotic surgical system Revo-i manufactured by meerecompany provides the enhanced 3D visualization with the 15x magnification, and it enables to perform a more elaborate, precise surgery.

 

There has been no infections or after-effects reported after performing 100 operations using Revo-i, which has proven its stability.

 

”We haven’t faced any surgical complications after conducting 100 cases of surgeries using the Revo-i robot. And it helps speed up the recovery time which is a huge advantage to patients,” Yoonsik Kang emphasized and said at the event.

 

Robotic Surgery Division Manager Jinwoo Lee also said, “A robotic surgery has many benefits for patients and surgeons. We strive to provide better medical services to our patients.”

 

 

 

 

“Gibbeum Hospital is very important to our company as it has added Revo-i for the first time in Korea. We will support and collaborate with Gibbeum to help achieve one thousand cases of surgeries as well as drive mutual technological development” said Joongoo Kim.

 

 

 

He also said, “We are excited to further develop our technologies and grow by a double-digit percentage each year. We will also continue to reach out to large hospitals as well as university hospitals so more and more surgeons can perform operations with our system.”
