【Whosaeng Sinbo】 The stage has been set up for ‘Revo-i’, a surgical robot developed with domestic technology, to demonstrate its performance for evaluation. Revo-i, which is chasing after da Vinci, the frontrunner of surgical robots, is a product ’made in Korea’ that draws the attention of medical community.

meerecompany (CEO Kim Joon Koo), which is producing and selling Revo-i, recently announced that it will participate in the "KIMES Busan Medical & Hospital Equipment Show 2020" to be held at BEXCO in Busan for 3 days from 23rd to 25th.

Revo-i is a surgical robot developed with domestic technology and da Vinci is its competitor. Although there is room to improve, medical teams that used it assessed that it is competitive enough with da Vinci.

meerecompany has set up a demo booth where it can demonstrate Revo-i at the Integrated Exhibit of Domestic Medical Devices for Exports at KIMES in Busan. Through this, meerecompany explained that it will actively promote Revo-i's excellence and address various questions regarding products. Only selected companies are participating in the Integrated Exhibit of Domestic Medical Devices for Exports, meerecompany added.

Despite the difficult situation with the COVID 19 pandemic, it is expected that this will present a good opportunity for hospitals and medical personnel who are interested in Revo-i among visitors to the KIMES Busan.

Lee Ho Kun, executive director and head of the Surgical Robot Business Division at meerecompany, said, "Revo-i, the laparoscopic surgical robot developed with domestic technology, has been participating in the International Robotics Surgery Live (IRSL) for 2 consecutive years (2018 & 2019) and has proved that it is competitive enough in the global market," and added, "We will strengthen marketing efforts so that this exhibition will become a momentum not only to promote general hospitals and medium and large-sized hospitals in Korea to introduce it but also to advance into the world medical market."
