Meerecompany (CEO Kim Joon-hong) will showcase its first laparoscopic robot system "Revo-i" (model name MSR-5100) at the 5th K-HOSPITAL FAIR 2018 at COEX in Samseong-dong on August 8.

Meerecompany's Revo-i successfully completed its clinical trial at Severance Hospital last year and received a manufacturing license from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.

Revo-i consists of a "Vision Cart" that processes and communicates the surgical situation in the abdominal cavity with high-quality three-dimensional images, a "Master Console" that delivers delicate hand movements in the concentration structure naturally to the robotic arm, and an "OP Cart" that carries out surgery by inserting an 8mm robot arm with a free-wrist into the patient's body.

The company will display its entire components of Revo-i at the K-HOSPITAL FAIR 2018 to showcase its actual operation.

It also plans to carry out various booth programs during the exhibition, including product presentations and purchasing counseling sessions.

Laparoscopic robotic surgery involves inserting four robotic arms into a patient's body after opening a hole less than 1 centimeter into the patient's body, and doctors perform the operation in detail by watching three-dimensional images, and is currently being used to treat diseases that require sophisticated surgery such as prostate cancer, thyroid gland cancer, uterine cancer surgery, stomach cancer surgery and rectum cancer surgery.
