Mereecompany (CEO Kim Joon-Hong) entered into a sales contract with a local partner, ‘KMG’ for the adoption of laparoscopic surgical robot, Revo-i within Kazakhstan at Hilton Astana Hotel, Kazakhstan on the 22nd local time, succeeding in its first overseas export.

Through this sales agreement, Mereecompany has prepared a foundation for expanding the distribution of Revo-i in full scale in Kazakhstan as well as in nearby countries.

With 2 units of Revo-i as its first order, it plans to focus on expanding the distribution in Revo-i, taking charge of not only sales but also maintenance in key hospitals in Kazakhstan. In addition, it aims to actively cooperate with Mereecompany and key hospitals in Kazakhstan to establish a local Revo-i Training Center.

Kim Joon-Hong, CEO of Mereecompany stated that “This achievement is the first successful overseas export of Revo-i’ and added that “It is all the more meaningful because this first achievement has been made in line with President Moon Jae In’s visit to the Central Asia”. He also added that “Through this opportunity, we will endeavor to distribute Revo-i further in overseas countries”.

Revo-i is a minimally invasive laparoscopic surgical robot that inserts a surgical tool attached to 4 robot arms after making a hole of less than 1cm in the patient’s body, enabling doctors to perform surgeries while looking at 3D imaging. Mereecompany started the development of Revo-i in 2007 and after conducting clinical tests with Severance Hospital in 2016, acquired safety and clinical effectiveness certifications.

It received the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety clearance in 2017 and at the end of 2018, succeeded in the first localization of laparoscopic surgical robot after it was adopted in a Korean specialized hospital.
