meerecompany Successfully Secures First Export of Revo-i Surgical Robotic System to Mongolia

- Revo-i Secures Contract through Competitive Bidding for National Cancer Center of Mongolia

- Potential for Expanding Robotic Surgery in Mongolia Based on Strong Bilateral Relations with Korea

- Rising Demand for Korean Medical Devices Anticipated Due to Mongolian Government's Health Policies

meerecompany (CEO Joon Koo Kim) announced on the 15th that it had successfully initiated its first export of the Revo-i surgical robot to Mongolia. This marks the fourth global market entry for Revo-i, further strengthening its international presence.

The Revo-i surgical robotic system will be deployed at the National Cancer Center of Mongolia, a national hospital located in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar that specializes in the treatment of severe cancers. The Revo-i is expected to be actively used in performing complex cancer surgeries as well as procedures for benign conditions. Given the strong relationships between the National Cancer Center and many Korean medical institutions, there are numerous opportunities for collaborative efforts to promote robotic surgery in Mongolia.

This export is particularly significant since it was secured through a competitive bidding process at a national hospital that demands high technical and performance standards. This achievement, based on technology recognized at the national level, has secured a favorable position for meerecompany in the Mongolian market.

Furthermore, with the Mongolian government's active health promotion policies, there is an increasing demand for advanced Korean medical equipment, suggesting the potential for continued exports. According to a 2023 report by KOTRA, Mongolia's import of Korean medical devices in 2022 amounted to $6.159 million, capturing a 12.3% market share and ranking second in the overall import market. This represents a 28.3% increase compared to the previous year, indicating a promising outlook for the expansion of Korean companies in the Mongolian market1.

Regarding the successful export to Mongolia, Ho Kun Lee, Executive Vice President of meerecompany’s Surgical Robot Division, stated, "As the brand value of Revo-i becomes increasingly recognized worldwide, we are steadily expanding our market presence. We plan to enter more markets in the remaining half of the year by strengthening our global marketing and network."
